Julie L. Gansle, Colonie Town Clerk

Hon. Julie L. Gansle was sworn in as Town Clerk of the Town of Colonie on January 1, 2018. Prior to becoming Town Clerk, Julie had served the Town of Colonie for over twenty-three years. Clerk Gansle began her career in the Town Justice Department, beginning as a Clerical Aide and advancing to Typist while completing her Bachelor of Science Degree at Russell Sage College. Her service continued as she pursued her Juris Doctor degree at Western New England College of Law, and she was appointed as Clerk of the Court on January 1, 2000. While serving as Clerk of the Court Julie also served in a variety of positions on the Executive Board for the New York State Association of Magistrates Court Clerks, Inc. (NYSAMCC, Inc.). In 2014, Julie was elected President of NYSAMCC, Inc., and was also awarded Court Clerk of the Year.

Since being elected to office, Julie has earned her designation as a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and continues to work towards her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation through the International Institute Municipal Clerks. Julie was most recently elected to serve on the Executive Board as a District Director for the New York State Town Clerks Association, Inc. (NYSTCA, Inc.)

Clerk Gansle is a life-long resident of the Town of Colonie having graduated from Colonie Central High School, Hudson Valley Community College, Russell Sage College and Western New England School of Law. She is the proud mother of three sons who are being raised and educated in the Town of Colonie. Julie, Eric and the boys reside in South Colonie.
