George A. Vogt IV, District 20:
Born and raised in Latham, George Vogt is running to represent the 20th District in the Albany County Legislature. His district includes parts of Old Loudon Road, Troy Schenectady Road, and Route 7, covering the northern end of Latham.
George and his family have been in the Latham area for more than 125 years. He graduated from Shaker High, and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Siena College. George is part-owner of George’s Market and Nursery, and he has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Capital District Regional Market since 2010. He is also a licensed real estate agent.
In addition to his private sector experience, George has been a proud volunteer at the Latham Fire Department for more than 10 years. Supporting first responders and recruiting and retaining volunteers will be a few of his top priorities once elected to the County Legislature.
