Alison Walden, District 14:
Alison Walden is running to represent District 14 in the Albany County Legislature. Her district encompasses the village of Menands where she resides, as well as parts of Loudonville and Watervliet.
Alison grew up in Loudonville, is a graduate of Shaker High School, and holds degrees from SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Albany. After working for almost a decade teaching inner city middle school students, Alison came home to raise her 3 children — Kay (10), Grace (8), and Teddy (5). She has since built a thriving real estate and small business career through hard work and perseverance.
Alison has always been independent when it comes to the political issues affecting her community. She was inspired to run for Albany County Legislature after seeing increased costs, less government accountability, and a growing need for economic development in her district the past few years. Once elected, Alison will work with all of her colleagues to pass common sense policies providing relief, fostering change, and encouraging growth in District 14.
